Lawson Wood (1878-1947) was a prolific British illustrator. He illustrated childrens' books and magazine covers. He was most well known for his depictions of monkeys in various human-like situations. These illustrations are calendar done for a propaganda calendar published by Brown & Bigelow sometime during World War II. Lot more examples of his art here.
