Funny how these seem like Photoshop. Maybe they've been retouched a little.
Seeing them here makes me wonder if Richard Corben's taste for pure, saturated color isolated by neutral boundries was formed looking at old Famous Monsters covers.

Basil does not retouch; he doesn't need to; unlike wacom monkeys, he learned how 2 blend hues and mix textures over 40 yrs before 'digi crap' came on the market.

I think these are some his more recent works from the 1990's. Definitely a color palette than his Famous Monsters covers.
