Scott Hampton has worked in the comic book and illustration field for over 40 years. He came to the attention of many people in 1983 with the publication of his fully-painted comic Silverheels. He has since gone on to do an adaptation of Robert E. Howard's Pigeons From Hell, the Batman graphic novels Night Cries and Gotham County Line. Scott has also published the original horror graphic novels The Upturned Stone and recently Trespassers. His credits also include Neil Gaiman's American Gods and Books of Magic. Scott recently did a graphic novel adaptation of the novel Wicked, which the hit Broadway play is based on.
His career has long cried out for a retrospective volume, and here it is: Something Wicked: The Art of Scott Hampton. As of this writing, it is a Kickstarter that has been fully funded and will be published. The current funding level is at about $11,000. If they can hit $15,000 a piece of original art by Scott will be included with orders of physical copies of the book. A few samples of art from the book below.
