In the mid-1970's Aurora model company brought out a series of models called "Comics Scenes." They were based on comic book, radio serial, and pulp characters. The models came with a comic book complete with a centerspread to use as a backdrop for the completed model. Aurora Comics Scenes: Superboy

In the mid-1970's Aurora model company brought out a series of models called "Comics Scenes." They were based on comic book, radio serial, and pulp characters. The models came with a comic book complete with a centerspread to use as a backdrop for the completed model. Aurora Models: Prehistoric Scenes

The Prehistoric Scenes series of models were released by Aurora between 1971 and 1974. The kits featured prehistoric environments such as caves, tar pits and swamps. Also dinosaurs, prehistoric mammals, and cavemen and a cavewomen. The bases fit all the models fit together, forming a huge diorama if you were lucky enough to be able to afford or find all the kits.
