Pinups by Ernest Chiriacka

Ernest Chiriacka (1913-2010) studied under Harvey Dunn at the Grand Central School of Art. His first pulp illustrations were published in 1939. In the 1950's Chiriacka began working for the slick magazines and painting paperback book covers. He retired from commercial illustration in 1965. More on him here.

Below are three pieces by Chiriacka, one pinup and two slightly seamier works.

Cover for Never Love a Man, 1962.

Cover for The Future Mr. Dolan, 1959. Novel by Charles Gorham.

Brown and Bigelow Calendar illustration, circa 1953.
